Focus on the breath. Even just taking a moment to slow down and notice our breath can make a huge difference in our level of anxiety.
Stay connected with the body. It sounds weird, but we leave our bodies all the time, going back in time to our glory days or that presentation we messed up, or going forward in time and worrying about what might be tomorrow. If we stay present and connected with our bodies we feel less overwhelmed because we remove the burden of ruminating on the past and worrying about the future.
