The Four Abodes of Love
3. Sympathetic [Appreciative] Joy
The above 4 types of love are considered to be sublime expressions of love. They are also known as The Four Sublime States, and the Brahmaviharas or Divine Abodes. These four qualities of true love are said to be, lofty, noble, and most ideal. They are considered to be the right way of relating with all living beings. Join us in June at our Saturday Series as we explore and practice these states of Love.
Join us on June 20th at 8:00-10:00 am for a Summer Solstice Sun Salutation class where we will salute the sun 108 times in honor of the longest day of the year. The sun's diameter is 108 times the earth's diameter, while the average distance of the sun and moon to earth is 108 times their respective diameters. This practice creates the energy to shift perspective and to let go of things that no longer serve you. To help us work through all 108 Sun Salutations, we have asked all of our Tribe Yoga & Wellness teachers to take turns leading us in our practice. This class is an excellent opportunity to meet our new teachers and socialize with the Tribe Yoga & Wellness family. Don't be intimidated by the 108 sun salutations; the pace will be peaceful and balanced. Bring your mat, some water, and your beautiful smile. This is an all-levels class. Proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
