Karin has been teaching Vinyasa Flow for several years and practicing for over 20 years. She discovered yoga while searching for a type of physical exercise that would also address her deep spiritual side as well, embracing the mind-body connection and the meditative aspects that yoga has to offer. Karin considers herself a universalist, loving all types of yoga. To create her flow sequences, Karin borrows from such traditions as Kundalini, Bhakti, and Ashtanga, making her classes interesting, creative, and fresh. She completed her teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center and is a RYT-500 hours through Yoga Alliance. Karin holds a master’s degree in education and has spent the majority of her professional life teaching middle school English and raising two sons with her husband. She most recently taught four-year-old students at a private preschool, where she developed curriculum for a yoga and mindfulness enrichment program. Her goal as a yoga teacher is to help people through the art of yoga to use breath, movement, and meditation in order to reduce suffering. She hopes to see you on the mat soon.

I have been practicing yoga since 2015 but I just recently began teaching in February 2021. I finished my 200 HR yoga teacher training at Soul Yoga in Greenville, SC. The experience was life changing and completely changed how I saw Yoga. Yoga is healing, breath, community, and so much more to me. Teaching is my way of serving my community and providing a safe space for everyone to be themselves and connect with others.
McKella teaches Vinyasa 1 on Mondays at 4pm
and Wednesdays at 9am.
To create a yoga community that inspires its members to awaken, be present, and give back with loving kindness.
To serve the community with authenticity and loving-kindness through offering yoga and wellness services and products.
All of our teachers are registered yoga teachers with Yoga Alliance each holding 200 hr. or higher certifications. Our primary area of study is alignment for strength and stability. As well, several of us have taken multiple workshops and or hold certifications in other specific areas of yoga such as Wall Yoga, Restorative and Yoga for Recovery.
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you reach improve and perfect poses, correct posture and positioning, and improve your breathing and outlook on life.
Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance in other physical activities. After a run, or heavy workout, yoga will help your body relax while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening the muscles you were just working on.
Yoga not only helps improve your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body.
