Outside of yoga, I'm a total nerd! I work as a fisheries biologist, play Dungeons and Dragons on a regular basis, and read every fantasy novel I can get my hands on. My classes are often inspired by nature, literature, science, art and music, and my hope is to blend an informative teaching style with a playful atmosphere to challenge and nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

Once she became introduced to yoga during a trying time in her life, Serena found the inner peace she needed to overcome those hurdles through her practice. She decided to dig deeper into this practice and took the 200-hour teacher training in 2018 at her studio in Texas. This is also where she began to share her teachings with her students. Serena loves bringing an element of zen and helping others explore how to find inner peace through movement, stretch, and breath. Serena has experience in a wide variety of yoga, from yin and restorative, to vinyasa and prenatal yoga, and everything in between. Aside from yoga, Serena finds balance as a financial advisor during the day and has two young children that keep her life entertaining and full of unexpected and fun surprises. If she ever finds time to herself, she loves to read, drink wine, garden and grow plants.
Serena will take every opportunity to share her practice with those she loves most, making each of her students leave a session feeling like family.

I have been practicing Yoga since 2006 and began sharing the teachings of yoga since 2012. I became a 500 hour certified teacher of this practice from Asheville Yoga Center and am registered through Yoga Alliance. I will always be as much a student of this practice as I am a teacher. My aim is to create a safe and fun space where you can come and practice self-care, to move mindfully, to listen to your body, to let go, to breathe, to feel, to have a good time and to smile often. Furthermore, I am bilingual and am able to teach in both English and Spanish. My style of teaching is a blend of my well informed background and education from all of my brilliant teachers. In closing I would like to invite you to take one of my classes. In my home country we say "Bienvenido/a" and I wish you a heartfelt welcome as we begin our journey together. Hope to see you on the mat soon.

She has been seriously practicing since 2016 and earned her 200-hour RYT in 2020 with Flow Yoga Center in Washington, DC. Megan’s approach to yoga is based in the principles of Vinyasa flow. Her classes center on dynamic flows rooted in breath and offer opportunities for escalation as well as rest. Megan believes in finding a meditative state through movement and encourages her students to challenge themselves physically to discover themselves spiritually. Currently, Megan is a graduate student at the University of South Carolina studying literature and library science. Outside the studio, you can find her reading, enjoying Columbia’s restaurants and festivals, and spending time with her rescue dog.

My name is Jaleasa, but you’re more than welcome to call me Jay. I have always been a student when it came to practicing yoga and decided, why not teach it? (as teachers, we’re always learning something new every day in the yogi world). Vinyasa is my vibe, but I love learning new and different styles. I love yoga because I get to just flow and go with what feels good, and that’s how I like to teach my class. So much freedom to do what feels right for the soul. I’m a big believer in doing what feels right and letting go of whatever no longer serves you. Hopefully, when you flow with me, you get a chance to let go and just be present. So excited to meet you!
